Vent: My stand mixer died mid-batch of cookie dough last night

Honestly, I was just getting into the groove making my grandma's chocolate chip recipe for a bake sale this weekend. The motor just started smoking and then stopped working completely around 9pm. I had to finish mixing that stiff dough by hand with a wooden spoon which took forever. Anyone else have their KitchenAid give out on them during a busy baking session?

Man I don't scream I just go totally silent and then my face gets all red. That happened to me once in a parking lot on a Tuesday afternoon. I was parked right outside Home Depot and some dude in a beat up truck just swung his door right into my car. Left a nice little dent right on the edge of my driver side door. I just stood there staring at the damage while he pretended he didn't feel anything. Karen you're right though it does suck and I still check my car every time I park somewhere crowded now.
