Spent $150 on a fancy heated chicken waterer, and it cracked in the first freeze

The plastic base split right down the middle at 15 degrees, so now I'm back to hauling warm water out twice a day like a sucker - anyone else have better luck with a different brand?

120 bucks for a metal one from Harrington's lasted me three winters now. Funny how we pay extra for something that's supposed to save us work and it just ends up breaking faster than the cheap stuff.
