Vent: the Snap-on guy at a trade show talked me out of a $40 socket and I've been carrying it around for 6 months
Stopped by a tool expo in Columbus back in March and asked a rep about a 3/8 swivel socket for the manifold bolts on a 4.6. He looked at the price tag and told me to just grind a spare one down on a bench grinder at home instead. Did that and it cracked on the third bolt, so now I'm out both the socket and the time. Has anyone run into a rep steering you toward a hack when the real tool was right there?

Grinding a socket down never works, learned that the hard way too.
