Spent $22 on a magnetic tray last spring, and it finally paid me back on a Cavalier job in Dayton
Back in March I got tired of losing 10mm bolts under hoods, so I grabbed a cheap magnetic tray for $22 at the parts store in Dayton. Last week I had a 2004 Cavalier apart for a water pump, and I set the bolts in that tray instead of dropping them in the gravel like usual. When I went to put it back together, every bolt was right where I left it and the job went out an hour and a half faster. I used to think trays were for guys with clean shops, but I was wrong. Anyone else got a cheap tool that ended up earning its keep?
