Vent: I always thought a heat gun was overkill for removing old pinstriping adhesive.

A customer brought in a '92 Chevy with a real mess of leftover glue after peeling off a stripe, and my usual adhesive remover just smeared it around. I finally grabbed my heat gun on low, held it about six inches away, and the stuff softened right up for a clean wipe-off with a microfiber cloth. Has anyone else found a specific temp setting that works best without risking the clear coat?

Wait, you just peeled off a stripe from a '92 Chevy and the clear coat was still good enough to worry about? That paint must have been babied in a garage its whole life.

My buddy swears by the low setting too.
