Had a guy come in with a 15 year old dent he wanted pulled yesterday
This older fella rolls up in a beat up Ford F-150, says he's had this crease in the rear quarter panel since 2009 from backing into a mailbox. He was dead set on me actually fixing it instead of replacing the panel, even offered to pay double my quote. Took me over an hour just to work out the paint cracking around it before I could even start pulling. Anyone else get customers with decades old damage they suddenly want perfect?

Even offered to pay double my quote" - that's wild man. I gotta ask though, what was his reasoning besides just wanting it original? Like did he have some sentimental attachment to that particular dent cause he put it there himself, or did he think replacing the panel would mess up the truck's resale value or something? I'm genuinely curious cause that's a lot of extra money just to keep a dent story alive.

@ryan_flores Yeah that's a good point, I'm really curious too. Like was it a dent he made on a hunting trip with his dad or something? Because paying double just to keep a dent that's not even a story worth telling seems crazy. Maybe he thought the replacement panel wouldn't match the faded paint on the rest of the truck, so he was just avoiding that headache. Still though, for that kind of money, you'd think he'd just let you fix it and move on.
