The one week every crew in town actually showed up when they said they would
Had a stretch this past spring where three different guys (an electrician off Moreland, a plumber, and a gutter crew) all hit their window within 30 minutes and quoted me under $400 total. Now I'm two weeks into waiting on a tree guy who said Tuesday, so tell me it's not just me seeing the good ones dry up.

Tree guys are the worst for this. They book way out and then a bigger job pops up and you get bumped. Call and ask for a hard date, not a day of the week. Tuesday means nothing to these guys. Also try the small outfits that only do trees, the ones with a chipper and one truck. They actually show up because they need the work. If he keeps dodging you, cut him loose and get three more quotes this week.
