Checked my water bill this morning and saw a 40 gallon jump from last month...

I'm wondering if it's a slow leak somewhere on my side of the meter or if the city's estimate was just way off, anyone dealt with Atlanta Water billing issues before?

Yo I used to think it was always the city screwing up but nah that's prob a leak.

Oh man, I gotta push back a little on that @leo567. I mean yeah sometimes leaks happen but I've seen the city drop the ball way too many times to just blame it on a leak. There was that whole thing with the water main last summer where they straight up admitted they knew about the weak spot for months and did nothing. Plus the way they handle billing errors makes me think they're just guessing half the time. Leaks are real, sure, but I'd say at least half the time it's negligence not a pipe bursting on its own.
