Warning: the granite 'sealer' door salesmen love is a rip off
Had a guy knock on my door in Decatur last Tuesday offering a $200 granite sealing special. He showed me a water bead test and said my counters were 'dangerously porous'. I looked up the company and they have 12 complaints with the BBB. Got a real stone guy out for $80 and he said the sealer from the box store for $15 does the same job, just takes 20 minutes. The water bead trick is just a sales tactic, any clean surface does that. Has anyone else had these guys come through their neighborhood?
