Update: water heater busted at 5am and I found out my shutoff valve was frozen shut
Woke up to water pooling in the garage off Briarcliff last Wednesday and the valve I was supposed to turn was stuck solid from sitting so long. I had to cut the main at the curb and eat the $310 emergency call because I couldn't wait til Monday. Now I'm testing every shutoff in the house twice a year with a pair of pliers. Anybody else find valves that size that just won't budge, or is it time I pay a plumber to swap them out?
