The HOA president lectured me about my grass in front of my own kid
Last Tuesday I was mowing my front yard in Decatur. It had rained all weekend so I waited for it to dry out. This guy walks up, no wave, no hi. He points at a patch near the curb and says that Bermuda needs to be cut at 2 inches, not whatever I was doing. I told him I mow at 3.5 to keep it strong in the heat. He then said I was hosting pests and that he'd have the board send a notice. My 9 year old was right there holding the water hose. I mean, I've had neighbor disagreements before, but calling me out mid-chore with my kid watching? That stuck with me. Has anyone else had an HOA type go out of their way to embarrass you instead of just leaving a note or emailing?
