Appreciation post: the neighbor who told me I was pressure washing too close to my siding
About a year ago a guy walking his dog stopped and said I was blasting the vinyl too hard with the pressure washer. He pointed out I was forcing water up under the panels and that would cause mold inside the wall over time. I figured he was just being nosy but after looking it up online I realized he was totally right. Now I use a wider spray pattern and keep the nozzle at least 2 feet away. Has anyone else gotten random advice from a stranger that actually saved them from a bigger problem down the road?

Oh man, that's a good tip! I had a similar thing happen when someone told me I was holding the wand at a bad angle on my driveway and it was etching the concrete.
