Three hours of light painting ruined by a train horn

Ngl, I was out at the abandoned bridge near Baker Creek last Wednesday, finally got a perfect 8 minute exposure with my LED wand, then a freight train blasted its horn and I jumped so bad I knocked the whole tripod into the water. Has anyone else had a shoot completely wrecked by some random noise or distraction?

I taped a piece of foam padding around my tripod legs after the second time I knocked mine over. Saved me a few times since then.

That foam padding trick is smart. I just wrapped some old athletic tape around mine in a few spots and it helped with grip and a little cushion when it smacks into stuff.
