People keep asking questions that are already answered in the FAQ

I swear half the posts in this community are stuff like "how do I bake bread" when there's a pinned guide. I saw 5 threads yesterday alone about basic forum rules that are literally in the sticky post at the top. It takes 2 seconds to scroll before typing a question. Why do people act like reading is optional? Has anyone else noticed this getting worse since the user count jumped last month?

Buddy of mine posted a simple question about file formats in a music production group. Someone replied with a link to the wiki page that was literally 3 posts below his. He felt like an idiot for a week.
