Shoutout to the $80 ground-penetrating radar app for my phone

I was skeptical but it actually helped me find a buried stone foundation on a site survey last week. It saved a ton of digging time and guesswork. Has anyone else tried these new consumer-grade tools for field work?

Wonder if it works through concrete slabs too.

That app uses the phone's magnetometer, right? I worry about interference from underground pipes or old buried cables giving false positives. My buddy got excited over a "foundation" that turned out to be a rusted septic tank. The tech is cool but it still needs a trained eye to read the data right.
