Why does nobody talk about fridge diagnostics sending you on wild goose chases?

I lost half a day replacing a perfectly good sensor because the unit's own error system pointed me in the wrong direction.

Those codes have saved me a few times actually.

Ugh, heard those error codes are basically guesses sometimes.

Tell me about it. Those codes are useless most of the time. My old laptop would flash a battery error when it was just loose. Called support and they read the same code back to me. Felt like a script. Now I just try the obvious fixes first.
