Just realized my apprentice made me rethink the whole 'fix it right the first time' thing
He asked me why I always replace the whole washing machine drain pump instead of just cleaning the filter screen, and honestly, I couldn't come up with a good reason after 12 years in the biz, so now I'm wondering how many customers I've overcharged for no good reason.

Were you using a quick fix and charging for the full replacement, or was your shop just doing it as standard without thinking?
