Heard a guy at the parts counter say most dryer thermal fuses blow from lint buildup not bad parts
Got me thinking how many times I swap a fuse without actually checking the vent path. Any of you ever trace a full exhaust run before doing the cheap fix and find a bird nest blocking it?

Three broken fuses later I finally checked the vent and found a dead squirrel right at the elbow.

Ugh the dead squirrel in the vent, that got me too. I started blowing fuses and it was a mouse nest completely blocking the whole pipe just past the bend. What worked for me was taking the whole vent cover off and using a shop vac with a long skinny attachment to clean it out from both sides.
