Compared two impact drivers side by side on a deck job last Saturday and the old brushed one just could not keep up.

The brushless Milwaukee drove 3 inch screws into treated pine like butter while the brushed Craftsman bogged down after the fifth one and I ended up switching drivers halfway through the day, has anyone else found brushless makes that much difference on a real project?

Like butter" is exactly right. My buddy tried using his old brushed Ryobi on a fence rebuild and had to borrow my brushless Dewalt before lunch. Night and day difference.

Used to think any drill was fine. But @kaiharris is totally right about brushless being a game changer once you try it.
