Spent 6 months hunting down a 1940s jadeite mixing bowl set

I found one piece at a flea market in Ohio for $8, a small mixing bowl. Turned out it was part of a four piece set from the 1940s. Took me six months of hitting every antique shop within 50 miles before I found the other three pieces, and the largest one cost me $45. Anyone else ever get stuck trying to complete a partial set like this?

The smaller bowls are always cheaper but the big ones wreck your wallet. My mom collects Fire King milkglass and had the same issue with a set of four nesting bowls. Found the three little ones easy enough but the biggest one took her eight months and cost $60 at some shop in Pennsylvania. She framed the receipt because it felt like a trophy.
