Switched from wireless sensors to hardwired after a false alarm disaster

I used to only install wireless because it was faster. Then last month a customer in Cleveland got charged $150 for a false alarm that a dying battery caused. I spent a weekend rewiring their whole house with Honeywell hardwired sensors and it's been rock solid since. Has anyone else had battery issues make you rethink your go-to setup?

Stick with hardwired myself after a similar scare. Had a customer in Toledo get hit with a $200 fine because their wireless smoke detector chirped at 2am and the monitoring center couldn't tell if it was real. Those Honeywell hardwired sensors are nice, but make sure you run the wires through conduit in basements. Mice chewed through bare cable in one of my installs last year and that was a whole new headache.
