Tried the new ultrasonic cleaner on carb parts, went back to the old soak method

Picked up a 6-liter ultrasonic unit from a guy in Tulsa for about 400 bucks. Ran three sets of carb floats and jets through it with the heated solution, and honestly the results were decent on grime but it left a weird film on the aluminum every single time. Switched back to my 5-gallon pail of simple green and a wire brush, takes longer but zero surprises. Anyone else find these machines overhyped for anything that isnt precision injectors?
