TIL my air fryer routine lowered my electric bill

I switched to making most weeknight meals in the air fryer last month. My latest power bill came in cheaper, which is a nice win for saving money and using less energy. Has anyone else noticed a change in their bills after using an air fryer more?

Doubt that's just from the air fryer (you know, like maybe you used the AC less or something). Those things can still use a lot of power for big meals. Might not be the savings you think.

Okay, but air fryers use less power than big ovens for a lot of meals. Take frozen fries, for example. My air fryer cooks them in 15 minutes, no preheat needed, but the oven would take 30 minutes and heat up the whole kitchen. That means the AC has to work harder too, so it's a double hit on power. I saw my electric bill go down after I started using the air fryer more, even with similar AC use. So for regular cooking, the savings add up.
