PSA: Frozen corn dogs will explode if you overcook them

I threw four corn dogs in my air fryer at 400 degrees for 12 minutes like a fool. Two of them burst open and shot batter all over the heating element, filling my kitchen with smoke. Has anyone else had a frozen food disaster that made your whole house smell like burnt breading?

Oh man, I did almost the exact same thing last month with some frozen taquitos in my microwave. Opened the door to this cloud of smoke that smelled like burnt tortilla for three straight days, no joke. My roommate actually bought an air purifier because of it and now every time I use the microwave he just stares at me from across the room. At least your corn dogs had the decency to explode in the air fryer where things are supposed to get messy, my microwave still has little black spots on the roof.

My friend michelle tried to toast frozen waffles in her toaster once and they caught fire. She had to unplug it and throw it outside in the snow. The whole apartment complex smelled like burnt Eggo for a week.
