Corn dogs turned out perfect at a tailgate for the first time?
I tried making corn dogs in the air fryer for a tailgate last Saturday and they finally came out right. The trick was preheating to 390 and doing 8 minutes, then flipping and another 4. I used name brand frozen ones and they got that golden brown crust instead of the soggy mess I usually get. My buddy said they tasted better than the ones from the concession stand, which felt pretty good. Have any of you nailed down a good time for other frozen snacks like mozzarella sticks?
My cousin swears by 400 degrees for 6 minutes on tater tots, no flipping needed. He burned his hand once trying to shake the basket mid-cycle and dropped a whole batch on the driveway. Now he just sets a timer and walks away, which honestly works better for him.
