We are finally biting the bullet and doing a full first-floor gut, including a major kitchen expansion. We have narrowed our choices down to Hurst Design Build Remodel and Summit Home Renovations. Both gave really solid presentations. Hurst seems a bit more heavily focused on the upfront design process, while Summit came in slightly cheaper on the preliminary estimate. Has anyone here worked with either of these companies recently? Would love to hear some real-world experiences before we sign a contract.
Some friends swear traveling for mega-cons is the peak fan experience, but I love discovering oddball issues in a city's hidden store. Which camp are you in, lmao?

Beeswax on thread changed my sewing game completely
Wow, calling beeswax a game changer is a bit dramatic for just sticky thread. Next you'll tell me a thimble changed your life.
