inHad to pick between a $300 crimper and a $80 one for a big harness job on a King Air. Went with the cheap one.
Went with the cheap one" is exactly what I would have done a few years ago. I used to believe the expensive tool was always the right call for a professional job. But then I had a cheap crimper outlast an expensive brand name one on a long project. Now I wonder if we're just paying for the name half the time.

inMy friend said giving away old furniture is a waste of time
My buddy was gonna toss a perfectly good dresser. It had a couple scratches but nothing crazy. I told him to list it for free, he said it was a waste of energy. Someone picked it up that afternoon for their kid's room. He was shook. Now he checks with me before he calls anything trash.

inPSA: I tried fixing a bent derailleur hanger with a crescent wrench versus a proper alignment tool. The difference was about $80 in new parts.
Ugh, same here. Did you also get tired of the guesswork and just want it done right?
