Hot take: Involving your kids in your home workout is a terrible idea.

They just get in the way and slow you down. Stick to solo sessions for real progress.

Saw a parenting blog a while back that made a good point about this. They said mixing kids and workouts isn't about getting a perfect session, it's about showing them an active lifestyle. Sure, it slows you down, but they pick up on the habit. My neighbor does it and his little ones now do burpees for fun, which is kinda cool. Seems like the real progress is more than just reps on your own time.
