Vent: A customer's 'cleaned' 1911 nearly took my finger off in the shop

Honestly, a guy brought in a Springfield he'd 'detailed' himself and the sear was so messed up it fired when I was just checking the slide. I was in my bay in Tulsa and the round went into the backstop, thank god. Anyone else had a customer 'repair' make a gun go full auto or worse?

Ugh, that spring hunt is the worst.

Nearly dropped my own gun once trying to fix a loose sight with a punch and a prayer. Ended up launching the sight spring across the room like a tiny, angry missile. Took me an hour to find it in the shop carpet. My own work is the scariest stuff I see most days.
