Serious question, my custom 1911 build took three whole years.

I ordered the frame and slide separately, and fitting them was a nightmare of tiny adjustments. Suppliers kept pushing back dates, and I had to redo the finish twice. How do you deal with clients when a project drags on way past the estimate?

Ever had a contractor just stop answering texts for a month? My kitchen remodel hit a wall when the tile guy took a "spiritual journey" to Arizona and my cabinets were on a boat stuck in the Suez Canal thing. I just started sending daily photos of my sad, torn-up floor with a sad face drawn in the dust. He finally came back and finished just to make the pictures stop.
