Shoutout to the 37th version of a logo I was stuck on
I was working on a logo for a local coffee shop, and I just kept hitting a wall. I must have saved 36 different files, all slight changes, and none of them felt right. Then, on the 37th try, I accidentally left a layer off while I was moving things around in Illustrator. It was this simple, clean mark I hadn't even considered, and it just clicked. It made me realize I was over-designing, adding too many little details that didn't mean anything. The client loved it, and now I keep that 37th file open on my desktop as a reminder to sometimes step back and strip things down. Has anyone else had a project where the 'breakthrough' version was way later than you expected?

Honestly, 37 versions for a coffee shop logo? That seems like a lot of overthinking for a cup of joe.

My record is 52 versions for a brewery client. I was adding hops, barley, all this junk. The final logo was just two clean lines that suggested a mountain. Took forever to get there.
