Font fights over my cousin's wedding invites got way out of hand
Last month, my cousin asked me to make her wedding invitations as a favor. I thought a simple, clean font would be perfect and chose one similar to Helvetica. Her mom saw my draft and freaked out, saying it was too plain and needed fancy curls. We spent a whole afternoon arguing about it at their house. More relatives jumped in, each picking a side, and it turned into a huge mess. We got so caught up that we were late to taste the wedding cake. We ended up using both fonts in a weird mix to make everyone happy. Has something like this ever happened to you with a design project?

Notice how these fights are never just about fonts. It's always about someone feeling left out of the planning. Saw it happen with my aunt's birthday invites last year.

When you were all arguing at their house, did you notice if certain family members were siding with your cousin versus her mom based on other history? Like who usually gets the final say in family decisions anyway?
