Warning: I think people are too quick to call a simple mix-up a 'glitch'

Last week at the grocery store in Springfield, I saw a woman drop a can of soup, but when she picked it up, it was a different brand. Everyone around her started whispering about a 'glitch'. I checked the shelf and the cans were just stacked wrong, with two brands mixed together. It felt like everyone wanted a weird story more than they wanted to check the facts. Has anyone else seen a 'glitch' that had a really normal answer?
