Spent $80 on a new phone charger and it made my old car radio pick up a station from 1992

My old charger died, so I grabbed a cheap one from a gas station. Plugged it into my car's 12V socket. The second I did, my radio went nuts. Static cleared and this crystal clear station came on. Playing music from the early 90s. DJ was talking about a concert that happened in '92 like it was next week. No modern ads. It lasted the whole drive home, about 20 minutes. Unplugged the charger at my house and the station vanished, back to normal static. Plugged it in again, nothing. That specific broadcast never came back. Felt like I briefly tuned into a signal from another time. Has anyone else had a random piece of tech act like a weird antenna?

Whoa that's wild! My old laptop charger used to pick up a local police scanner. I'd hear dispatch calls clear as day until I moved the cord. Tech ghosts are real.

Did you try wrapping the cord around a ferrite bead? That fixed my speaker picking up radio stations.
