A guy at the hardware store in Boise told me something I can't forget
I was picking up some shingles about six months ago, and this older guy in line behind me just said, 'You ever get the feeling you've already paid for this?' He was holding a pack of nails. I laughed it off, but he was dead serious and told me a story about buying the same exact nails three days before, but his receipt and the nails were just gone from his truck. He said it felt like a reset. Anyone else had a stranger tell you something that made the whole day feel off?

That's not a reset, that's just forgetting your stuff. Happens to me all the time. I bought the same bag of potting soil twice last month because I left the first one in the trunk and forgot about it. The weird feeling is just your brain trying to make a pattern out of a simple mistake.

Hold up, @mila294, but what if our brains are actually picking up on tiny glitches? Forgetting one thing is normal, but when your keys vanish from the exact spot you just put them, it feels different. Maybe there's more to it than just a simple mistake.
