Bought a $400 glass suction cup lifter for a big storefront job last month.

It was a two person job that turned into a one person setup, saved me a ton of time and felt a lot safer moving those big lites. The handle grip is way better than the old style we had. Anyone have a good trick for keeping the rubber pads from getting slick with dust on site?

Oh man, I feel this! Upgraded to a nicer lifter last year and it was a total game changer for solo work. For the rubber pads, I keep a spray bottle with a little bit of soapy water in my kit. A quick mist and wipe with a rag gets the dust off and brings the grip right back. Works way better than just trying to dry brush it.

That soapy water trick is brilliant, I'm gonna try that next time. My pads get slick with drywall dust and it drives me nuts. A little spray bottle in the kit is such a simple fix.
