My kiln in Portland shut down mid-firing last week.
The controller showed an error code I'd never seen before. Has anyone else had a Bartlett controller fail like this, and how did you fix it?

Check the exact error code on the Bartlett display. Was it a series of letters and numbers, like an E code or something else? The specific code tells you if it's a thermocouple issue, a relay fault, or something with the main board.

Yeah, that part about the specific code telling you the exact problem is so true. It can save you a ton of time and guesswork. I've been there staring at a weird error, feeling totally stuck. Getting the exact code like @aaron_gonzalez said is the only way to know for sure what you're dealing with. Otherwise you're just throwing parts at it and hoping something sticks. It turns a big scary problem into a simple fix once you know what the machine is actually trying to tell you.
