I was wrong about the cheap fitness tracker from that big box store

I bought a generic 'FitPro 200' for 25 bucks thinking it was basically the same as a Fitbit. After a month, the step count was off by like 2000 steps a day and the app kept crashing. Switched to a Garmin Venu Sq 2 and the GPS is spot on, the battery lasts a full week, and the heart rate data actually makes sense. Has anyone else had a budget tracker totally fail on them?

Yeah, that "basically just expensive pedometers" line is so true. I had the same thing happen with a no-name tracker I got online. The sleep tracking said I was awake for hours when I was dead asleep. What finally worked for me was just saving up for a refurbished older model Fitbit. It was way cheaper than new, but it actually tracked things right. Sometimes you just have to spend a little more to get the data you actually want.
