Bulk bag of rice beat my usual 2-pound sacks by over half
I finally did the math on the 25-pound jasmine rice bag from the Asian market on 82nd Avenue versus those small grocery store bags I always grabbed. That big bag cost me $18 and every 2-pound sack was running about $4.50, so I am saving roughly $1.20 a pound. The trick was storing it in a clean 5-gallon bucket with a tight lid, no bugs after 3 months so far. Anyone else made the switch to restaurant-sized grain bags and how do you keep it fresh long term?
