Found a box of old trade show junk while cleaning out the garage. It had logo pens that dried up years ago and a stress ball shaped like a tooth. My kid asked why I kept a broken mini fan from some insurance company. I had no good answer, just shrugged and tossed it all. Felt freeing to ditch that clutter, like closing a chapter on bad free stuff. Now I only take candy from bowls and leave the rest.

So what's the crown jewel of your useless haul, a broken toaster or a neon sign for a place that closed? I can picture it now, a whole room dedicated to free stuff you never wanted. You probably have enough keychains to open a hardware store. And let me guess, half of it still has the shipping plastic on. Honestly, it's like a museum of bad decisions, but at least you stopped before adding a life-size cardboard cutout of a star you don't even like.

My 2013 conference swag bag still has a broken Bluetooth karaoke machine in the original box (plastic wrap half torn off). It’s been a doorstop in my closet for so long the cord is a permanent tripping hazard. The museum of bad decisions definitely has a wing for “corporate freebies you thought were cool at the time.”
