I used to haul free furniture in my hatchback

Back in 2018 I could fit a full size couch in my 2005 Civic if I took the passenger seat out. Now I have a truck but nobody gives away solid wood stuff anymore, it's all particle board from Amazon. Does anyone still find real wood furniture on the curb or is that just a memory now?

I hear what you're saying about the particle board takeover but I kind of see it differently... I still find solid wood stuff on the curb pretty regularly actually. It's not like the old days where you'd find a full dining set every week but people do still put out real furniture when they're moving or cleaning out a basement. You just gotta check at the right times like end of the month when leases turn over. Maybe it depends on your neighborhood too.

Honestly, I think it's less about neighborhood and more about how fast you can sprint when you see someone lugging a solid oak dresser to the curb. Tbh, that's the real workout.
