Serious question, had to choose between a full glue-down or floating install for a 500 sq ft LVP job in a basement

Went with floating over the vapor barrier because the slab had minor moisture, and it turned out perfect with zero callbacks. Anyone have a go-to moisture meter they trust for concrete subfloors?

Well, "serious question" is a bit much for picking a floor type. It's not exactly a life or death choice. Glad your floating floor worked out, but that's the standard fix for a damp slab. My old General Tools meter has been fine for checking concrete.

Choosing flooring for a basement is a big deal financially and for your home's health. Moisture issues can lead to mold and ruin a big investment. A proper moisture test is more than just a quick check with a basic meter. It's worth taking seriously to avoid costly problems down the line.
