Bamboo flooring cracking on me during a sustainability-focused remodel...

I took on a job with bamboo flooring... the client wants everything eco-friendly but the planks keep cracking... How should I let the material settle to avoid more splits?

Bamboo needs to acclimate flat in the room where it's going for at least a week. Give it more time if the humidity's been all over the place.

But what if the subfloor's concrete? Does that change the timing?

Man, that's rough. Did you check the moisture content in both the subfloor and the bamboo before you started? Sometimes it's stored somewhere really dry or humid.
