Went to my neighbor's shed party and his roof was held up by a broomstick
I kid you not, I walked in there for a cold drink and saw this wooden broom wedged between the floor and a sagging rafter. He said it's been like that for 3 years. Has anyone tried a temp fix that actually worked longer than a season?

Well a shim is usually a thin piece of wood, not a whole broom holding up a roof...
