Hit 100 faucet repairs this weekend and it got me thinking

I was working on a buddy's kitchen sink Saturday and I realized that was number 100 for me since I started doing my own plumbing. That's 100 times I've dealt with washers, O-rings, or cartridge swaps over the last 4 years. It surprised me because I never kept count, but my buddy mentioned I fixed his parent's bathroom faucet back in 2021 and it just clicked how many I've done. Anyone else ever tally up how many projects they've tackled without meaning to?

Wait, you kept track of that too? I started counting my light switch and outlet swaps a couple years ago (thought it'd be funny to see how many I did before I got shocked) and I'm at like 45 now, but I never thought to tally up something like faucets. That's wild though, 100 is a lot of O-rings and cursing under the sink. I did three bathroom faucets last month alone for family members, all different brands with different stupid little clips and tools you need just for that one model. Makes me wonder how many times I've accidentally left a drip or two behind after all that work, you know?

Man oh man the dripping thing haunts me too. You ever finish a swap under the sink, wipe everything down, feel like a champ and then hear that tiny plink plink three hours later? Drives me nuts. I did a pullout kitchen faucet for my sister last spring and I swear I tightened everything twice but there was still a slow weep from the hose connection. Had to crawl back under there with a flashlight and a towel like some kind of plumbing gremlin. Those dumb little proprietary clips are the worst invention ever, I just know some engineer sat there laughing while designing a clip you can only remove with a special plastic pry tool that costs 8 bucks.
