Update: My cabin trip made me hate dealing with rocky soil for fence posts
Digging through that mess on vacation reminded me why some jobs just eat up your whole day.

Up in the Adirondacks, that rocky soil hides big slabs under the surface. Hit one with your digger and the whole post angle goes wrong. Just ruins your day.

Probably not every digger hits a slab though.

Yeah that thing with the rocky soil hiding slabs is the worst. It's like life's full of those hidden things that mess up a simple plan. I see it all the time when people try DIY stuff at home, one small thing they didn't expect and the whole project gets sideways. Just throws everything off.
