My week was saved by a zip tie and a piece of a milk jug
Had a critical bracket snap on my pressure washer mid-job Tuesday, but I cut a plastic shim and secured it with a heavy-duty zip tie to finish three backyards. Anyone have a better temporary fix for cracked plastic housings?
My buddy Dave once fixed a broken lawnmower handle with duct tape and a paint stir stick for a whole summer. It just shows that a good temporary fix can last way longer than you think. His mower finally gave out from engine trouble, not the handle.
That bit about the engine trouble reminds me of my old car. The radio died in 2010, but I just used a portable speaker on the passenger seat. Drove it that way for eight more years until the transmission went. Never did fix the radio.
