I mean, that's rough but honestly not that surprising. I've had the opposite happen where the cheap tool held up and the expensive brand name one felt flimsy. Sometimes you just get a bad unit, it's a total gamble. Maybe it's just me but I don't think price is always a sure sign of quality anymore.

Look at how companies handle warranty claims, grant901. A cheap brand might just ghost you while a good one fixes it fast, which is part of the real cost. That backup matters more than the sticker price sometimes.
