Unpopular opinion: hitting 1000 service calls without a single callback for a loose connection changed how I see the job

I just checked my log book and realized I've done exactly 1000 service calls since I started tracking them, and not one was a callback for a loose wire nut or terminal screw. That number shocked me. I'm not some genius, I just take the extra 30 seconds to tug-test every connection and use a torque screwdriver on panels. So many guys I work with just crank it down by feel and move on. That stat proves the 'good enough' method isn't actually good enough. How many of you actually track your callback reasons, or is it just me?

That "good enough" method you mentioned is exactly what my old foreman called "getting bit by the ghost." He said every loose connection is a ghost waiting to haunt you later. Your 1000 call stat really shows how those extra seconds add up to real reliability. Do you think most callbacks are just from rushing the final connection?

My foreman's ghost theory proved right on 80% of our callbacks last quarter.
