Still do my residential service calls the old way - no app, no tablet
Had a homeowner last Thursday watch me pull out a paper notepad to sketch the existing wiring. He said 'don't you have an iPad for that?' I told him I've been doing this 22 years and my paper notes never need a software update. Any other old school guys still do it this way?

How'd the customer react when you kept writing on paper? Did he keep pushing about the iPad or just let you work?

Oh wait, I think you're mixing up threads @mia442 - the paper thing was actually a different customer, the one with the iPad was a separate situation. The iPad guy was actually pretty chill about it.
